1. Some Software Downloads including words with sample sentences for you...

Our demo software for French, German and Spanish has now had some sample sentences added, these having been taken from our sentences courses, which teach you a sentence that relates to the word learned.
You may have already downloaded and seen the 200 Words a Day! Demo which describes how our courses work. This new demo adds to this material with some sample sentences relating to the words in the Demo. So you can learn the word, then click on the picture to see the word in action in a sentence - in French, Spanish or German.

The languages are Spanish, German, French and Welsh.
This is different to the VIDEO demo that many of you have seen. This is a software program with working examples so that you will be able to see the unique workings of the 200 Words a Day! system.

You may have already downloaded the 200 Words a Day! software demo. Well this one is the same, except that you can see how we have added sample sentences that complement the words that you learn in Courses 1 and 2 for Spanish, French and German. So download this to update your demo.
So now you can learn the word, and a sentence as well....so that you can see the word in action.

2. SPANISH TIP: The Spanish for carry, take, wear...
--------------------------------------
Check out this very important verb, and its Memory Trigger. Our cartoon character is carrying kegs of beer, and another cartoon character asks him, "Are you going to CARRY that far?"
"YEAH FAR from you!" is his mate's reply....
Llevar, pronounced YEVAR, is the Spanish word for carry, take or wear, and it also means many other things as well, as covered in depth on this webpage.
Here we have the verb llevar, fully conjugated in all its major tenses, with practise sentences as well, so that you can really get a grip on the word, and its present, past, future, conditional, and subjunctive tenses - plus all the compound tenses.
The webpage goes into some detail on this extremely useful and versatile verb, one that you should study in some detail.
Do study this page.... because very shortly I am going to give you the same lesson in the form of a f:r:ee software download... and allow you to compare the effectiveness of the learning using the interactive features of our software as opposed to just reading as studying from a page....
The software teaches you the words, then goes through each of the 7 simple tenses, then 6 compound tenses (e.g. I have carried, I had carried, I would have carried etc

The interactive nature of the software makes it much, much more fun, and easier to use, that trying to solely read text from a website screen.

5. GERMAN TIP: A Bit about German Verbs

Today's German tip covers German verbs, looking at some of the most important verbs - sein, (to be), werden (to become, will be) and haben (to have).
Also some of the ways that the verb patterns work in comparison to English.
In English we say: drink, drank, drunk
In German we say: trinken, trank, getrunken

Common questions relate to the typing of the different foreign characters, e.g. upside-down question-marks, accents, apostrophes!
Sometimes users are not typing in a little accent or letter here or there, resulting in them dropping points in their tests.
