coger can also mean: to take; to get, to choose, to select, to pick up.
Careful: coger in Mexico and Argentina is rude slang, used much the same way as to f*ck.
cogerse (vr): to hold on.
cogerse de la mano: to hold hands.

coger a algiuen en autostop: to pick up a hitch-hiker.
coger sitio: to pick/save a place.

coger la delantera: to take the lead.
coger un berrinche: to have a temper tantrum.

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular - - in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America. Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'. In irregular ER verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
