Spanish Verb HUIR: to flee
The Spanish verb huir means 'to flee' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.
To remember this, imagine the WEIRDO flees from the WEIR!

huir de algo: to avoid something.
huirle a alguien: to avoid somebody.
huirse con alguien: to run away with somebody.

encontrarse huido/a: to be on the run (m/f).
el huido / la huida (nm/f): escapee, fugitive (m/f).
la huida (nf): flight.
el instinto de luchar o huir: fight or flight instinct.

emprender la huida: to take flight.
andar/estar huido: to keep oneself to oneself, to keep a low profile.
huir de las llamas.: to flee from the flames.

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular - - in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America. Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'. In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
