Why you MUST LEARN to conjugate the Spanish verb IR: - to go
You really need to learn to conjugate ir because it is a POWER VERB that helps you build many other phrases like: I/you/he/she/it/we/they are going to do something, which - like in English - acts as a simple future tense.
With such phrases using IR you can add any infinitive and then you have a simple, and commonly used way of expressing the future, that you can use before you have learned all the future tenses for all the various verb families.

Take any of the present tense: add a + infinitive to make a "going to" tense: voy a hacer - I am going to make
Vas a correr: you are going to run
Vamos a ver: we are going to see, we will see

HOW TO CONQUER SPANISH VERB CONJUGATION
- The Spanish verb for go ir is an irregular IR verb conjugated with many differences to regular IR verbs.
- Keep doing verbs every day from the Spanish Verbs List. Reveiw ones you have learned and do new ones. Do them in groups of patterns.
- The same applies to the various patterns. Each month we feature a daily verb from one of the major pattern groups. So you will spend a month, or 2 weeks, or so on one particular family of verbs.
- Repeating these tables aloud 10 times throughout the day will better embed the patterns into your subconscious, and your long term memory.
- Reciting aloud is a great way for you to practice your pronunciation, and helps you to memorize the conjugations.
