The Spanish verb revestir means 'to cover (ie. walls) ' and is an irregular Spanish IR verb.

To remember this, imagine you cover the walls with a RED VEST HERE!

Around 30 verbs are conjugated like revestir, replacing the e with an i in the present, preterite, subjunctive and imperative tenses.

revestir (de) can also mean: to sheathe, to lag; to disguise (in).
revestirse: to cover/arm oneself in (coll).
revestirse de paciencia/valor: to arm oneself with patience/to pluck up courage.

el revestimiento (nm): covering, cladding, flooring, sheathing, lining, wall tiles.
el revestimiento de madera: wood panelling.

el revestimiento metállica: cladding (bonded metal coating).

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular IR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
