Spanish Verb ROMPER: to break
The Spanish verb romper means 'to break' and is a regular Spanish ER verb, all except for its past participle.

romper (de) can also mean: to smash, to snap, to tear, to rip; to burst open.
romperse (vr): to get broken, to get smashed; to wear out.
romper con algo/alguien: to break with something / someone.

romper a llorar / en llanto: to burst into tears.
romper a reír: to burst into laughter.
romper las reglas: to break the rules.

rompecorazones (nfpl): heartbreaker.

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular - - in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America. Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
