Spanish Verb TENDER: to hang out
The Spanish verb tender means 'to hang out' and is an irregular Spanish ER verb.

tender can also mean: to extend, to spread out, to hand out, to hold out.
tenderse : to lie down, to show.
tender a + infinitive : to tend to.

la tendencia (nf): tendency
el tendido: laying, hanging, building.
tendido, a: hung out, lying down.
tendiente a + infinitive: designed to + infinitive.

Tiene ropa tendida: She has washing hanging out/on the line.
Tiende a ser optimista: S/he tends to be an optimistic.
tender la mano a alguien: to give a helping hand to someone.

|
vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular - - in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America. Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'. In irregular ER verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
