The Spanish verb volar means 'to fly ' and is an irregular Spanish AR verb.

To remember this, imagine a flying VOLE!

Volar changes the stem in the Present, Present Subjunctive and Imperative tenses.

volar can also mean: to blow up; to swipe, to nick (coll:Mex,Ven).
volarse (vr): to fly something /someone.
volando (pres.part/adj) flying/ in a rush.
irse volando: to rush/hurry off (lit. to fly off).

el vuelo (nm): flight.
tomar vuelo: to take flight.
horas de vuelo: flight time.
alzar/levantar el vuelo: to fly away / off.

El tiempo vuela: Time flies.
mandar a volar (a alguien): to tell someone to get lost.
tener miedo a volar: to have a fear of flying.
volar por las escaleras: to fly down the stairs.

vos replaces tú - you, informal, singular -
- in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and also in some countries of Central America.
Sometimes it also replaces the formal singular 'Usted'.
In irregular AR verbs, the conjugations remain the same as for tú except for the addition of accents in the following tenses:
Presente: vos volás
Imperativo: ¡volá!
